Character Introductions
(Introductions will be updated from time to time.)
Yūki Takahashi
Raised by his mother alone since the age of one.
He never attended kindergarten or elementary school, spending his days either at home or in the park. Because of this, his behavior and speech are childish for his age.
He died unexpectedly but was granted reincarnation by a god. However, upon reincarnation, he somehow became smaller.
He loves animals. He often read picture books, imagined the animals within them, and played with them in his heart. Dogs are his favorite.
In Another World
Mashiro — Fenrir
A mutated species of the strongest magical beast said to exist in the other world. A gift from the god when Yūki was sent there.
Devoted to Yūki, Mashiro obeys anything he says, which often leads them both into trouble. Frequently quarrels with William, the knight commander, over Yūki’s attention.
Though anxious about losing his place among the growing number of contracted beasts, Mashiro regains confidence thanks to Eschette’s words.
Sylphy — Carbuncle
A legendary spirit, often depicted in picture books as a mythical being.
While being hunted and injured by adventurers, Sylphy was guided by Yūki’s warm, sun‑like light to William’s mansion. There, the fairy Dil healed her wounds, and she formed a contract with Yūki.
Because her personality resembles Yūki’s, she can understand his half‑formed words like “fufun, fufun.”
Dil — Fairy
A healing fairy who cured Sylphy’s injuries.
When Sylphy visited Yūki, Dil accompanied her. Fairies love fun and amusement, so Dil immediately saw Yūki as delightful and entered into a contract on the spot.
Ryuka — Fairy
A light fairy and Dil’s partner.
Visited Yūki together with Dil and contracted with him. Since Yūki kept his promise to William not to use magic stones, Ryuka lit up the room instead, helping with Sylphy’s treatment.
Despises foolish creatures—humans included.
Eschette — Ancient Dragon
Like Sylphy, a being of legend. Yūki met Eschette at a lake while fleeing from wicked humans, guided there by Sylphy.
Though drawn to Yūki, Eschette initially refused to leave the forest. But the forest’s creatures noticed his feelings and compelled him to contract with Yūki and depart.
For Yūki’s sake, he would not hesitate to destroy a kingdom.
Kimil
A spirit of seeds. When Kuronyan broke into the mansion and was injured, Kimil’s plea for help reached Yūki, who came searching and met him.
Kimil often causes trouble, such as blooming phantom flowers for Yūki, which leads to frequent quarrels with William. Flowers picked by Kimil never wither.
Kuronyan (Rudok)
Injured after sneaking into the mansion, Kuronyan was rescued by Yūki and his companions. He had been assisting thieves for the sake of his comrades.
Though touched by Yūki’s kindness, he initially refused to admit it. When given a name, William tried to block “Kuronyan” and instead called him “Rudok,” but thanks to Olivia, his true name “Kuronyan” is gradually becoming accepted.
The City of Cardinal
William
The most powerful noble in Cardinal. Met Yūki in the forest and, feeling destiny and charmed by his cuteness, decided to welcome him into his family.
Gifted with swordsmanship, widely known across the land.
Has a habit of pushing troublesome work onto subordinates, earning occasional punishment from his butler and vice‑captain.
Still, when it matters, he gets things done… probably.
Olivia
William’s wife. Loves cute things. Upon hearing about Yūki from Matthew, who returned early from the forest, she immediately prepared a room and selected maids for him.
Though a noblewoman, she is a former adventurer of considerable skill.
Anthony
William’s eldest son. Excellent student, always top of his class. Prefers thinking and giving orders over fighting with swords or magic. Hopes to inherit the family and further develop the city.
Delighted when he heard Yūki would join the household, since his younger brother Joshua only trains with swords and lacks cuteness. Yūki’s arrival meant finally having a “cute little brother.”
Joshua
William’s second son. Admires his father and constantly trains with the sword, dreaming of becoming a knight. Dislikes studying. Loves his brother but finds him annoying when told to study.
Excited to hear Yūki was coming, since it meant he could become an older brother. He understands Yūki’s mischief better than anyone.
Ashel
The family butler. When Yūki was adopted, Ashel completed the paperwork overnight, showing his immense capability. Oversees everything in the William household.
Blocks William’s attempts to shirk work by perfectly sealing off escape routes.
Though flawless as a butler, his sword and magic skills are also formidable.
Amelia
A maid of the William household. Assigned by Olivia to care for Yūki. Loves cute things, so she was overjoyed, though her enthusiasm made Yūki suspicious at first.
A former adventurer, trained by Olivia, and highly skilled.
Rudger
William’s father. Retired after passing the household to William, now lives in another city. Skilled swordsman, once a knight serving the kingdom. Childhood friend of King Richard of Bolfis, with whom he remains close.
Liz
William’s mother. Former adventurer, skilled with bow and magic. Sent Yūki a vehicle she herself invented, now widely produced.
The Knight Order
Oliver
Vice‑captain of the knights, the most intelligent among them.
Often ends up handling paperwork abandoned by the captain, which has practically become his job. Plans to punish the captain soon.
Merciless toward those he considers enemies.
Noah
Uses magic stones for offense and defense but specializes in healing. Knowledgeable about herbs. Handles cooking during expeditions, with considerable skill.
Liam
Second only to William in combat ability. Leads and commands when William is incapacitated.
Matthew
Expert in reconnaissance. During expeditions, sets traps, defeats beasts, and keeps watch. Faster than other members. Returned to Cardinal ahead of the group to prepare Yūki’s adoption papers and inform Olivia.
The Gods
Rudy
The god who first appeared in the character introductions, responsible for sending Yūki to another world. Keeps many secrets from him.
Lucas
Rudy’s fellow god. Often exasperated by Rudy’s carefree nature.
