Bonus Chapter — Thank You

Thank you, everyone, for always reading.

The story has now surpassed 100 bookmarks! This is all thanks to you, my readers. Truly, thank you.

To celebrate, I’ve written this special bonus chapter. If you prefer to stay strictly with the main story, feel free to skip it.

I’ll continue doing my best to make this tale enjoyable, so please keep supporting me. Once again, thank you very much.

“Maashirooo, where are youuu?”

I was playing hide-and-seek with Mashiro in the mansion and garden. I was the seeker. To make it fair, Dil and Ryuka helped me search. Sylphy… was napping in my room.

Without help, I’d never find Mashiro before nightfall. My little body couldn’t move fast, and I was already tired.

“Nowhere… I’m exhausted.”

“Isn’t he hiding too seriously? His opponent is just a child and two tiny fairies.”

“Totally unfair.”

I plopped down in the hallway, worn out.

“There are still plenty of places left to check. Yuuki, are you okay?”

“Fweeeh… too many places. I’m tired.”

Dil grinned. “I’ve got an idea. Ryuka, let’s use that.”

“That?”

Soon, I was floating.

The fairies had sprinkled me with powder—the kind newborn fairies use to help them fly. It wasn’t strong, but enough to lift me to Father’s knee height. Walking was hard, but floating was easy.

“Are we allowed to do this? Won’t we get scolded again?”

“Yuuki’s exhausted. We’ll never finish otherwise.”

“True… oh well. Let’s hurry and find Mashiro, then eat cake.”

“Yes, cake!”

Flying made searching faster. We checked room after room, but Mashiro wasn’t anywhere. We didn’t enter Father and Mother’s rooms, or the workrooms—those were off-limits.

So, we searched outside.

“Mashirooo, where are youuu?”

Still no sign. Even the garden was empty. My powder was wearing off—I could barely float anymore.

“Only the roof left.”

“Yuuki, we’ll check for you.”

“I want to go too!”

“You can’t climb that high.”

I pouted. But Dil and Ryuka had one more bag of powder each.

“Let’s use it all. That should get us to the roof.”

“Mashirooo, found you!”

Mashiro was sprawled on the roof, belly up, fast asleep. He hadn’t been hiding seriously at all—just napping where he knew I couldn’t reach.

Afterward, when I couldn’t fly anymore, Mashiro carried me on his back. Together we went for snacks. But then—

“YUUUKIII! What were you doing?!”

“Ueeeh…”

Father scolded me. For hide-and-seek. Why? I hadn’t done anything wrong. Dil and Ryuka helped, and I did find Mashiro.

But…

Reports had already reached the mansion.

“Something small, like a child, was flying through the air! Was it a new kind of beast?”

“An enormous creature descended from the roof! Is Lord William safe?”

The townsfolk had seen me flying and Mashiro climbing down. Multiple reports poured in.

William panicked. He tried to explain it was a mistake, that no beasts had attacked, but no one believed him. Finally, he promised patrols and investigations to calm them down.

Inside the mansion, Yuuki remained blissfully unaware of how outrageous his actions were. No one had stopped him.

William sighed, scolding Yuuki while wondering how to teach him common sense. The boy simply didn’t realize.

Yuuki cried from being scolded. William nearly cried from Yuuki’s antics.

And so, the mansion ended another lively day.

This chapter was written a little differently—an extra story about one of Yuuki’s “mishaps.”

Flying through the air is… quite the mishap, don’t you think?

I hope you enjoyed it, even just a little.

Next time, we’ll return to the main story. Thank you again for your support!
